Saturday, December 6th, 2008

Subsoniq now has a youtube channel! Come check us out at http://www.youtube.com/subsoniqradio

The above video spawned from on-air bet during Subsoniq in 2007 and features a basketball game between K-Murdock and Raw Poetic (who make up the group Panacea).  DJ Deeper films and has commentary and KB refs. Be sure to check out the Air Ball Intermission uploaded as a different video on the youtube site http://www.youtube.com/subsoniqradio . Highlights in this video include the pre-game, halftime (at 4:50), the infamous spill (at 7:14) and the post-game (at 8:42)

Also available on the youtube site are a few video highlights from the Q-Tip interview that aired on Subsoniq last month. Look for more video highlights, audio treats, and an overall new visual element becoming an essential part of the show. Big thanks to PC, Deuce, and Alex for their hard work.

Pitch Control Instru-mental Style

Thursday, September 11th, 2008

Sunday 9/14 10pm et on XMU (ch.43 Direct TV ch.83)

This week on “Pitch Control“, we’re welcoming in one of the cornerstones of the progressive hip-hop movement on XM, but as well an artist in his own right, producer K-Murdock aka Doc from XM’s “Subsoniq”. Whether he’s crafting production as an audio animator at XM or producing for his group Panacea, K-Murdock is a producer who digs deep for his sounds and this week he’s in the driver seat on “Pitch Control” to showcase some of his recent favorites. Focusing mostly on compositional and instrumental progressive hip-hop, you’ll hear artists like Nicolay, Nujabes, Damu, Fat Jon, DJ Spinna and Jackson Conti, among others. Tune in to “Pitch Control” this week for a ride through the (digital) crates of one of XM’s and one of today’s leading soundsmiths, K-Murdock

Redbull Big Tune Event in D.C. 9/24

Monday, September 1st, 2008

This Wed, Sept 24th at 9.30, i (DOC aka K-Murdock) will be a
participant in the DC Red Bull Big Tune beat competition.  ME and a
number of other producers from the DC area, as well as parts of the
mid-atlantic will be showcasing and battling using some of our BEST
beats with the crowd (YOU ALL) as the judges.

I would love to have as many fans of my Neosonic productions out to rally and scream in hopes of advancing to the next round and ultimately winning DC’s Big Tune and advancing to the finals in NY in December.  Winner of that gets to fly put to a swanky music studio and record music with the artist of their CHOICE- no brainer who im picking… my shortlist is as follows:

MC Brains, maybe Coolio or how about Rob Van Winkle aka Vanilla Ice

LOL. Seriously, i think Q-tip and me could make a some dope progressive stuff… BUT 1st thing is FIRST, come out and support ya boy and my beats this Wed at 9.30 club… for more info:

Hope to see you and HEAR YOU there…
