Sunday, December 28th, 2008

Subsoniq - Sundays 10pm - midnight et (on Hip Hop Nation - ch.67 XM, ch.40 Sirius, ch.847 DTV)

Afromentals - Sundays midnight - 2am et (on Hip Hop Nation - ch.67 XM, ch.40 Sirius, ch.847 DTV)

As 2009 comes into focus, so does a new progressive movement on Sirius XM. Sunday nights on Hip Hop Nation now features both Subsoniq and DJ Jamad’s Afromentals mixshow. It’s a 4 hour block from 10pm - 2am et that will end your weekend on a different note. Look for great things from each show in the coming year and expect to see the shows build, collaborate, and cross promote as 2009 takes hold. For more information about both Subsoniq and Afromentals please check the links below.

Subsoniq now on Hip Hop Nation, new shows to check

Hip Hop Nation (ch.67 on XM platform, ch.40 on Sirius platform) - Sundays 10pm et

Subsoniq can now be heard on Sirius XM’s Hip Hop Nation. Our original time on RAW (ch.66 - R.I.P.) was 10pm-midnight et. We now takeover that timeslot again on the merged platform. We are excited to have the opportunity to continue to play the best of progressive hip hop over the satellites. While there are down sides (like losing our very short lived Tuesday 9am - 11am slot), we now get the chance to expose and promote progressive hip hop music to a wider audience. Expect the same approach and show/music philosphy from Subsoniq, we are now just on a different channel and at a different timeslot.

Hip Hop Nation (ch.67 on XM platform, ch.40 on Sirius platform, Direct TV ch.847) - Sundays 10pm et

For our second show on the merged platform we decided to bring in members of the Subsoniq Crew to bullshit and pick out some new joints for the night. K-Murdock, KB, DQ, and Raw Poetic at the helm tonight featuring new music from Blame One & Exile, Ludacris, Common, Black Milk, DJ Babu, Madlib, Evidence, Kanye West, Mos Def, and many more. Next week look out for a special featuring Nicolay & Phonte of (The Foreign Exchange). Also on deck is a special with DJ Z-Trip. Good things to come, right here on Subsoniq!

P.S. DQ’s the one with the blonde wig and what looks to be a leather skirt?!?
