No more Subsoniq Downloads aloud
At the request of XM’s legal department, all downloadable Subsoniq shows have been removed from this site. It sucks……we agree. Not much we can do about it though. feel free to comment with any concerns.

Yeah, why would XM want to possibly promote any of their products and entice people to possibly subscribe to the best show on the format? (Other than O&A of course.) This show should be on XM 4 hours a day. But instead we can keep hearing Dana Dane and “Push It” by Salt N Pepa. Always ahead of the curve, XM.

Push-it all day long, makes my day when I can catch subsoniq

This sucks. But what you could always do, while sticking in the boundaries of the system, is get a Subsoniq podcast into regular rotation in the XM Weekly Music podcast. I mean, that podcast is 80% XMU anyway. I’d listen to the actual show more if my schedule permitted it, but I would be in awe if you could talk the powers that be into letting you guys put up a regular podcast - especially if it could be the full show.

Tas, great suggestion. problem is that XMU podcast is mostly unsigned bands. In order to create podcasts with music that has artists signed to labels there is an incredible amount of red tape and paperwork that has to be done by us in order for XM’s legal team to sign off on it. In the end, it just not workable in terms of time required. Sucks but that is the reality.
Let me ask you guys? do you think us putting up downloadable interviews minus the music would be something you would check out?

No, I’m not interested in listening to interviews sans music.
I am interested in somebody contacting me with a rapidshare or torrent of all the old stuff that is now taken down out of the archive…
Long live subsoniq classix and vinyl reanimations
